Return & Store Credit Policy

Our Commitment to Authenticity

At True Ink Collectables, every item we sell is 100% authenticated by trusted third-party services including Beckett Authentication Services (BAS), James Spence Authentication (JSA), and PSA/DNA. We stand behind the authenticity of every piece in our collection.

The authenticated memorabilia industry faces significant challenges with fraud, counterfeit signatures, and tampered items. To protect both our customers and the integrity of our inventory, all returns are subject to the following policy.

Return & Exchange Window

Buyers may request a return or exchange within 3 business days of delivery. All return requests must be submitted by contacting us directly and must be approved before any item is shipped back. Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Store Credit — Not Cash Refunds

Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of authenticated memorabilia and the high risk of fraud and item substitution in this industry, approved returns are issued as store credit only. Cash refunds are not available except where required by law or in cases where True Ink Collectables is unable to verify the authenticity of an item we sold.

Store credit is issued for the original purchase price (minus any applicable restocking fee) and can be applied to any future purchase at shoptrueink.com or our eBay store. Store credit does not expire.

Restocking Fee

A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply to approved returns. This covers the cost of re-inspecting, re-authenticating (if necessary), repackaging, and relisting the item. The restocking fee will be communicated at the time your return is approved, before you ship the item back.

The restocking fee may be waived at our discretion, including in cases where:

  • The item was damaged during shipping.
  • The item received does not match the listing description.
  • An authentication concern is raised and verified by True Ink.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • Original condition: The item must be returned in the exact condition it was received — including all original packaging, authentication certificates, hologram stickers, COAs, and any protective materials.
  • Authentication materials intact: All original authentication hologram stickers, tamper-proof seals, and certificates of authenticity must be intact and unaltered. Items returned with removed, damaged, or replaced authentication materials will not be accepted.
  • Framed items: Framed items must be returned in their original frame with glass/acrylic intact. We are not responsible for damage that occurs during return shipping due to insufficient packaging.
  • Return shipping: The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and must use a carrier with tracking and insurance for the full value of the item.

Why We Have This Policy

We want every collector to be thrilled with their purchase. We also have a responsibility to protect the authenticity and integrity of every item in our inventory. Unfortunately, the sports and entertainment memorabilia market is heavily impacted by counterfeit items, forged signatures, and authentication fraud.

Common risks that this policy is designed to protect against include:

  • Items being swapped with counterfeit or unsigned versions before being returned.
  • Authentication hologram stickers or COAs being removed and applied to forged items.
  • Items being damaged, altered, or tampered with after delivery.

This policy allows us to offer a fair resolution for buyers while ensuring that every item in our collection remains genuine and verified. We inspect every return thoroughly before issuing store credit.

Authenticity Guarantee

In the rare event that a buyer receives an item and has a legitimate concern about its authenticity, we take that very seriously. If you believe an item’s authenticity is in question, contact us immediately. We will work directly with the relevant authentication service to investigate. If an authenticity claim is substantiated, we will issue a full cash refund including original shipping costs.

Items that arrive damaged due to shipping will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please photograph any shipping damage before opening the package and contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

How to Request a Return

Please include your order number, the item name, the reason for your return request, and photos of the item in its current condition. We will respond within 1 business day with a decision and, if approved, return instructions.

True Ink Collectables reserves the right to update this policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of purchase applies to that transaction.
